In 2011 we've seen a lot of change in file hosting sites and the industry in general. Handfuls of new file hosting sites try to stake their claim and compete with file hosting sites already established... most fail.. but some exceed and go on to be one of the best file hosting services. Some file hosting sites we used religiously are now a shell of their former self.
So in the year 2011, what file hosting service do you think is on top? Which file hosting service do you think will be strong in 2012? I've decided to open up the polls and the comments and see what you guys think. Speaking of 2011 alone, which file hosting service has the best features and the most value.
I noticed one of the biggest changes in popularity was Hotfile. Hotfile was the most popular file host since Rapidshare. Then you guys probably heard about how Hotfile became a target of the anti-piracy radar. They switched up their game and went from being the best place to make money to if you upload copyrighted files a few too many times they delete your account (premium or not) and take your earnings. Feel sorry for those poor fools who bought a year premium for Hotfile, only to get shit on and have their earnings and their paid account taken.
The next biggest change in popularity I noticed in 2011 is Wupload. Wupload showed up at the scene and almost overnight they were on every warez forum and warez blog out there. Everybody posts Wupload links.
With attractive features like little to no wait time before downloads and their claim that free users get excellent download speeds as well. Things seemed to be going good for the company, and hell with a $5.00 minimum payout, I even thought maybe it would be a strong new file hosting site. (although after recently downloading a file I became disgusted with the download speed of 90 kbps).
