Since the closing of Megaupload.com, which also led to the closing of popular file hosting sites like Filesonic.com and Fileserve.com, users have been looking for new places to store files. This closing has led to changes among many websites. For example warez blogs have to decide which new file hosting site to go with, which could be a calculated risk depending on the future of the site they pick. Pick a crappy file host? In 2 months you'll be in the same boat you were in.

With the current state file hosting and cyber locker sites, it's best to sit back and see what happens. Don't rush right in and pick the first host you see, unless you have a good idea they are going to be around for time to come. So for all you uploaders, I have made a chart which lists some of the file hosting sites in a post megaupload world. You can also search the table and order it by minimum payout, ect.

Make money with your warez site even if your file host has shut down affiliate program! Now that you cannot make money off fileserve/filesonic, but there is still a way to make money! A new site I found has a minimum payout of only 3.00! You will still make money by giving away free downloads.

So basically instead of making money off your downloads, you make money off shorten link programs. They also have banner ads and they have pay per click and pay per impression. That means you can get paid per 1000 ad views. Combine this with showing ads on every download, and you could make some serious cash.

Another good thing is your downloaders will still get to download from a fast host like rapidshare or mediafire. They just wait 3 seconds for the ad to disappear- a small price to pay for a mediafire download link.

Worried about getting your money? The minimum payout is only $3.00. Give it a shot and try it today!

Start making money!

Just a quick update guys, as you all know the owners of Megaupload have been indicted by the FBI and the United States, but Just a few hours ago, Fileserve pulled its affiliate program. Thats right Fileserve affiliate program is gone! Some users report all their files are gone, while others earnings are missing.

No more Fileserve money

Actually they removed the whole earnings tab. At a webmaster forum, Wjunction.com, Fileserve uploaders were complaining that Fileserve didn't pay out their money before they shut down.

Thats right, if you had money in your fileserve account, it's gone forever! Some uploaders reported losing hundreds of dollars, while myself, I only lost about 1 dollar.

Just goes to show that you can never trust a filehost, not even fileserve, because if they get in hot water they will steal your money from your account and close the affiliate program. They didn't even post anything to users at all (probably because they are paranoid with the recent Megaupload bust)

Did you lose any money from fileserve? If you did post it here or your opinions. The least fileserve could of done is warn their users, or at least attempt a payout so uploaders can receive their money.

What is in the future for file hosting and uploading for money? Only time will tell!

Megaupload is gone. Owners are in jail and a federal indictment has been served. A copy of the indictment is at the bottom of this post, you can download or view it in your browser.

It is a shame that the US government can do whatever they want.. but if you read the indictment, the owners of Megaupload were so stupid. Several parts of the indictment say instances where the owners of Megaupload were uploading copyright content themselves.. and not removing every DCMA complaint.

Here is a few instances:

"On or about October 4, 2007, BENCKO sent VAN DER KOLK an e-mailmessage entitled “pls” requesting “can u pls get me some links to the series called ‘Seinfeld’from MU?"

Okay guys almost a year ago I wrote an article about Fileserve Vs Filesonic, which host packs the most?. A lot has changed since my first Filesonic review. Filesonic has indeed gotten very popular and their service has changed in a few different ways. Most of the changes are good and a few of the changes I could live without but either way Filesonic is definitely doing something that other file hosts probably would like to do. Be successful.

The best change to Filesonic is the new affiliate plans. You can now set up your affiliate account the following different ways.

filesonic reivew

This offers you maximum flexibility and more ways to earn. Website owners can also take a percent from every sale. Check out some pictures of earnings.

filesonic premium review

The picture of the earnings above is not mine but  a member of the Wjunction forums. Either way look at how he earns money from both referral and premium sales. I don't have the best luck with Pay per download because of the new digital fingerprinting they now have.

Vobile® / VDNA® Digital Fingerprinting Technology

Digital Fingerprinting and what it does is as soon as there is a DMCA complaint, they takedown the files. Then any other files that are uploaded with he same digital fingerprints will automatically be deleted.

This is one thing that is a hassle with Filesonic. The time your files and links stay up is less than Fileserve / Filepost. If you upload a lot of stuff you should probably just go ahead and make a backup folder, then if they remove the files you can just re-upload it again. You may want to compress the file into a .zip and change the MD5-that might help keep your links alive longer.

Hate em or love em, Filesonic is probably the preferred file host.. or at least he most popular, among up-loaders and down-loaders. The last Filesonic review I wrote had comments from readers with different opinions. Filesonic is aging and has been around for awhile, let's hope they don't pull a Hotfile on us.

If you guys have earnings from filesonic please post a link to them in the comments below or you can contact me and I can post your image for all to see.

Sign up for Filesonic now!

Good luck and Happy Uploading!
